Church History
Calvary Chapel Hocabá was born as a mission in 2006, when Pastor Santiago Medina was going to show the "Jesus Film Project" and got lost on his way to Tabi and arrived in Hocabá. At a crossroads, he asked for instructions on how to get to his destination. The one who gave him the instructions was a brother in the faith who convinced him to show the film in Hocabá and thus the mission was born. In 2009 Pastor Erick Orozco took charge of the mission until his call to go to Colombia. Upon his return in 2024 he saw the state of abandonment of the church and, as in the story of Nehemiah, he asked for support to finish building the church. God has responded and the church is being activated again and now there is the possibility of being a Child Development Center of "Compassion-Mexico".
